R.I.P. Maleya

Seven years ago, my son had gone to the hospital and had to have tests run. My husband told my son that if my son would let the doctor run tests then we would go look at some dogs.
The next day we drove to a house that had a litter of 8-week old boxer puppies. I was not a dog lover until I saw her. I picked the calm one of the group, went to the ATM machine, and adopted this puppy we named Maleya.

Maleya was the most lovable, and funny dog and we loved her. We had to make the hardest decision last November. Cancer had taken over Maleya's body and she was very sick. She was only 6 years old :( We took her to the vet while our kids were in school and had just finished burying her when the kids came home. We were all heart-broken.
Maleya must have been with us in spirit and seen how much we were grieving because a month later, a black shih tzu kept running away and barking at our doorstep. After about the 5th time, we took this as a sign. Roscoe had been my sister's dog and had been abused by his previous owner and my brother-in-law. We adopted Roscoe in January and he was my gift to my husband for our anniversary. He is very loveable and the best watch dog :)
