What has been the most difficult thing you have had to forgive?
The most difficult thing I have had to forgive is myself. I really struggle with choices I have made in the past and although I have prayed for forgiveness and done everything I needed to do to ask for forgiveness from those I wronged, I have always had a difficult time forgiving myself. I was asked how long I have to punish myself? Would I treat someone else the same way if they asked me for forgiveness? The answer to the first question is that I don't want to punish myself anymore (but it happens sometimes when the past creeps up on me). The answer to the second question is no, I would not treat someone else the same way. I would forgive and forget.
