The hardest things I ever experienced...

What is the hardest thing you have ever experienced?
I think the hardest thing(s) I have ever experienced is first, giving birth. Kudos to the women who are able to give birth without an epidural. One word comes to my mind when I think of having a baby without drugs...OUCH!
The second hardest thing that I have ever done is watching the nurses poke my three-month old daughter 12 times before getting an IV in her veins. She went to the hospital with a 104 degree fever and we could not get it to go down. She also had to have a spinal tap and even though I was out of the room, I could hear her scream from down the hall and my heart broke :'(
The third hardest thing was comforting my five-year-old daughter after she broke her arm not once but twice in the same year. I guess it is safe to say, we were glad to see that year end.
The fourth hardest thing was waiting to hear back from my husband while my son was rushed from one hospital to another for emergency surgery. He tripped over a hula-hoop on the school playground and managed to land just right where his rib poked a hole into his liver. Thank God the liver bled internally which meant it would heal on its own without surgery.
The fifth and last hardest thing I ever had to do was go back to college after an 18 year break since I graduated high school.
